Celebrating our 36th Annual Conference in 2012

Thank you for visiting our website.  As President of AMGO for 2011-2012, I look forward to enhancing the many benefits and experiences that our members share.  We are comprised of administrators in academic ob/gyn departments across the United States and Canada.  One of our strengths is that despite the diversity in the size of our academic departments, and the day to day functions of our particular positions, we gain unique support and knowledge through AMGO.  There is a true sense of connection as our members pop a question on our listserve, and within a few minutes, the replies come in from coast to coast!

When we gather at the annual conference, new attendees remark on the professional camaraderie they experience. The conferences combine the fun of social events and educational sessions to boost our knowledge.

We have many active members who are working on AMGO Committees to:

  • plan the 2012 36th Annual Conference
  • develop a modernized interactive website,
  • connect with new and renewing members
  • reach out to department Chairs of potential members
  • create our newsletters
  • survey our members to enhance our attendance annual conference
  • explore new means of financial support for AMGO

I anticipate a year of celebrating all the best of our AMGO traditions while developing some new features that will make AMGO even better.

Our 2012 Conference will be held Sunday September 30 - Wednesday October 3rd at the historic Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, CA. This lovely resort is set upon 1,200 beautiful acres that includes two 18-hole golf courses and a luxurious spa. Located within minutes of over 250 wineries, I hope you will come and enjoy a memorable visit during harvest season. Many more details to follow!
